North Wales Cross Country League

Our Endurance athletes have had a busy Cross Country season to date, resulting in an exciting final fixture of the North Wales Cross Country League as the season culminated at Oswestry.
Following earlier fixtures at Bangor (October), Shrewsbury (November) and Dolgellau (January), the league concluded with a number of excellent results for Deeside athletes.
In the Junior races, the U11 Boys series saw a runaway win for Isacc Martin whilst in the U11 Girls, sisters Gwen & Ella Hayes finished 2nd & 3rd respectively.
Other Age Groups Series results:
U13B – 1st Elliot Rowe, 2nd Finley Potter
U15B – 2nd Elis Martin, and tied for 3rd were Alfie Evans and Zac Campbell
U15G – 1st Heather Watson
In the Senior races, Jacob Welsh took the Men’s U17 title and our Senior ladies, after last season winning the league title for the first time in the Clubs 50 year history, this year successfully defended their crown, assisted by several excellent series results, as follows :
Martha Owen – 1st Senior Lady and joint overall 1st Female
Liv Ashton – 3rd Senior
Neisha Roberts – 1st U20L
Evie Watts – 2nd U17L
The above were joined in delivering exceptional performances at a number of the fixtures by Abbie Doherty, Josie Hirst, Eden O’ Dea, Briony Hibbert and Michelle Arrowsmith.We look forward to attempting to make it a hat trick next season!
